    • Title: Gorenstein projective resolutions.
    • Abstract:  Gorenstein homological algebra is the most developed part of contemporary relative homological algebra. It replaces the classical projective (injective, flat respectively) resolutions with the Gorenstein projective (Gorenstein injective, Gorenstein flat respectively) resolutions. But, while the classical resolutions are known to exist over arbitrary rings, things are different when it comes to the Gorenstein resolutions. The main open problems in this area concern the existence of these resolutions, and to what extent can the theory be extended to arbitrary rings. We discuss the current status of the existence of Gorenstein projective resolutions.
