Mark McNalley

Associate Director of Residence Life

Mark oversees the development of our residential curriculum and is the main contact for our LLC’s in the residence halls. Additionally, Mark works with the Area Coordinator for Brown, Lowndes and Patterson on community development plans for those halls.   Finally, Mark advises the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) student organization.  Mark received his graduate degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University and he has a Mass Communications degree from UVA-Wise.

He is heavily involved with the SEAHO organization as he has served on committees and chaired the Educational Programs committee. He is also involved in our regional and national residence hall student-led organizations (SAACURH and NACURH). Mark is very passionate about connecting the material taught in the classroom to the everyday lives of students outside the classroom.  To this end, Mark is also an instructor for PERS courses and the RA Class.  When not out and about, Mark can a bit of a homebody and enjoys watching stand-up comedy or the latest superhero movie. He is joined (and encouraged) in these efforts by his wife and son. If you have any questions about ways to get involved in your residence hall, please feel free to contact Mark at the e-mail listed below.
